Welcome to Williams Lake Trail! This beautiful hike leads you to a hidden oasis, with a few pieces of nature along the way.
At just 3.7 miles long, this trek won't take too much out of you while still being full of views that you'll see on a treacherous hike.
Throughout the trail you'll find incredible views of the wilderness, as well as a gorgeous waterfall along the way.
Being in the Carson National Forest, the expansive views of the trees are simply breathtaking. There isn't much shade upon this hike, so make sure to prepare for a lot of direct sun.
Since this hike is up in the mountains of Taos, there might be snow when you visit. Snowshoes are recommended, though not necessary.
Once you reach the end of the rocky trek, you'll be met with the beautiful and underrated destination that is Williams Lake.
Williams Lake freezes over in the winter, making for a beautiful view. No matter what time of year it is, this little natural lake is the perfect hidden oasis. You may even have it all to yourself.
