No matter where you are in the Land of Enchantment, you will find something truly, well, enchanting. Located in the Lincoln National Forest is the Tunnel Vista Trail, a short trail that will lead you to something spectacular — a waterfall swimming hole in New Mexico. Grab your swimsuit, a good pair of shoes, and get ready for the perfect outdoor adventure.
The Tunnel Vista Trail is a 0.5-mile trail that is moderate in intensity. It is an out-and-back hiking trail with slight elevation gain, making it a little challenging for some hikers.
Not only are there parts of the trail that can be steep, but prepare yourself to climb over many large rocks. This will certainly add a little excitement to your hike but always prioritize your safety. The rocks can also make the trail difficult for younger children.
However, despite the physical challenges, once you reach the end of this trail, all of your hard work will be worth it.
You will come to a gorgeous waterfall swimming hole. Jump on in and enjoy the water.
If you love to climb, keep on climbing. You can continue exploring on the rocks surrounding the waterfalls to capture even more remarkable views.
As you dry off, take a look around. There is some breathtaking scenery surrounding you. Sit back and enjoy the beauty of the area before you begin the trek back down.
It may be a bit of a climb, but the Tunnel Vista Trail is truly a spectacular waterfall swimming hole in New Mexico.
