The orchard grows a variety of apples, which will soon be ready for pickin’. You can also purchase already picked apples. Perfect for apple picking, this may be the best apple orchard in New Mexico. Costanza Orchard is a family owned and operated orchard in Belen.
The charming orchard features 1,000 apple trees. But the quantity isn’t the only impressive thing about it.
It also boasts a remarkable variety of apples. The orchard grows Gala, Early Golds, Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Winesaps, Granny Smiths, and Arkansas Blacks.
Costanza Orchard has been a local favorite since opening back in 1962 – and for good reason.
Not only does the orchard grow and sell a variety of apples, but it opens to the public for apple picking.
The 2019 u-pick season begins in September. Be sure to check the orchard’s Facebook page (link provided below) for exact dates.
Don’t want to pick your own apples? No problem. Costanza Orchard sells already picked apples.
Keep in mind, different varieties are ready at different times.
Galas and Early Golds are available mid-August. Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, and Winesnaps will be ready in September. Arkansas Blacks will be ripe in October.
