Welcome to a little adventure out in Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument. One of the most beautiful areas of New Mexico is on display for hikers on a trail that runs just 3 miles long.
Wind and water have eroded the stone in this area to make stunning sculptures of all shapes and sizes. They flow like they were poured this way, sculpted by something beyond human hands.
When the park is open, the beautiful tent shaped rock formations are a wonder to behold. With a bit of imagination, the rocks can appear to be anything you can come up with.
Though they are tent shaped, the little holes and changes in the surface make some appear like birdhouses or other objects.
The caves out here aren't for climbing or exploring, but if you like all the other rock formations around these parts, you'll love the caves as well. Between the hoodos, canyon, and other features, this trail has something for everyone.
Though there are no dogs allowed on this trail, As a heads up, the park may close for maintenance, necessary operations, and more. Please check out the Bureau of Land Management's website to make sure you're updated.
