Set at 6,664 feet of elevation, the 3,600-acre Sugariate Canyon State Park provides an ideal place for any nature lover to spend some time. Come here to either rest and relax or partake in one of many recreational activities.
Throughout the park, there are 13 miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. Camping is also available and there is an amphitheater as well as a visitors center with exhibits and a gift shop.

Set along the New Mexico-Colorado state border at Sugarite Canyon State Park, Lake Maloya is a reservoir that's worth spending some time on.
While swimming is not allowed in this 130-acre lake, both motorized and non-motorized boating is.
