New Jersey is the Garden State, so it's no surprise we have hundreds of farmers' markets scattered about. They offer everything from fresh fruits and veggies to soaps, honey, and homemade crafts created by a variety of vendors. They're a fantastic way to shop and they just got better or, at the least, safer.
This is the Laurel Market, located in the lovely little town of Pitman.
Established just last year and an immediate success, they're doing things a little differently this summer.
While you can still expect to find fresh and fantastic goods from over a dozen delightful vendors...
You'll order everything online (in one place) and pick it all up at one convenient location - the Words Matter Bookstore at 52. S Broadway in Pitman.
Order and pay online throughout the week and pick up your goodies on Saturdays between 9 a.m. and noon.
The market is already open for the season and the last Saturday pickup is set to be September 26th.
The process is so simple and it's so much fun! You'll find eats and treats from a wide range of farmers and vendors including...
B Leave It Honey, Bound Brook Farm, Cabin Fever Goods, Crisp Microgreens, Evergreen Valley Acres, Happy Goats Soap, The Artisan Marshmallow Co., Mary's Magical Maps, Sparrow Lake Farm, and many more!
You'll find groceries along with great gifts at this virtual market, and you'll be supporting local businesses. What a great idea! You can learn more and browse and shop the farmers market here. You can search by product or vendor, or just peruse the selection. They've got contact info too, in case you have any questions. My question is...aren't the unique art pieces offered by Mary's Magical Maps just so much fun? Check them out and let us know what you think in the comments.
