A destination restaurant is just what it sounds like - an incredible eatery that is a destination in and of itself, not just someplace you stop when you're in the area. New Jersey has so many amazing restaurants worth a drive, though most are in larger towns and cities. However, the tiny town of Hopewell (population: 1,920) has a destination restaurant of its own.
Brick Farm Tavern is an upscale farm-to-table restaurant housed in an 1800s farmhouse.
Located on a working farm (Double Brook Farm), you can expect only the freshest, most flavorful food.
Each dish is a work of art, designed to please your palate. The cuisine is Modern American with menu favorites including Beef Tartare and Berkshire Pork Belly.
You'll find a selection of mouthwatering small plates, a chef's tasting menu and delectable desserts. This blackberry mousse almost looks too good to eat.
The restaurant prides itself on providing guests with food that is ethically produced, locally sourced, hormone free and sustainable. In addition to the food, patrons can enjoy creative drinks.
Enjoy special events like the upcoming Sottimano Wine Dinner on 10/26. Dine on 5 courses paired with wine and learn about the wine making process.
Though Hopewell may be tiny, there's still plenty to enjoy here. Head to the Off-Broad Street Theater for a show or shop at the Brick Farm Market.
In fact, the farm market holds its own as a destination as well. Visit on 10/15 for Hogtoberfest.
