New Jersey really is "The Garden State." We're home to a sizable selection of farms, many of which are open to the public for sunflower festivals, pick-your-own fruits and vegetables, and more. Fall is when they really shine, offering hayrides, corn mazes, and dozens of other autumn activities. With so many activities to choose from, where do we start? It really depends on where in New Jersey you live. There's Heaven Hill Farm in North Jersey, Terhune Orchards in Central Jersey, and the best pumpkin farm in New Jersey...
Johnson's Corner Farm in South Jersey.
A family farm since the 1950s, it all started with sweet corn.
Today, the farm has grown significantly. You can pick everything from strawberries to sunflowers, depending on the season.
There's an animal farm and discovery barnyard, play area, gem mining, a splash pad...
And you'll find a fantastic farm market with lots of fresh produce, a bakery (with delicious apple cider donuts), and an ice cream shop.
When winter comes, there are holiday light show hayrides, visits with Santa, Fire & Lights events, and many other activities for all ages.
Even with all the year-round fun, fall has to be the best time to visit. You can pick your own apples, pumpkins, sweet potatoes, and more. You'll get to enjoy a scenic hayride to the picking area of your choice.
And visitors absolutely love the fun fall festival weekends!
In addition to the apple and pumpkin picking hayrides, they include live music, a family-friendly corn maze, a food tent, and more.
Both kids and adults have a blast whenever they visit Johnson's Corner Farm. After all, it's one of the best farms in New Jersey. Things have really changed since last year, so be sure to check the Johnson's Corner Farm website for the current pick-your-own schedule and any new safety guidelines.
