You probably already know that Granite Gorge Ski Area, located in Keene, is a great place to go for tons of winter activities. From downhill skiing to cross-country skiing to snowshoeing, if you love being outside when it’s cold, you’ll love it here.
But, we particularly love the snow tubing at Granite Gorge! The snow tubing slope is a whopping 950 feet, making this far more than just a little slide. It may be one of the best snow tubing hills in New Hampshire!
At the top, you’ll find six different chutes which means that visiting with friends is ideal. You can all fly down at the same time.
And, they allow any type of style going downhill - including the ability to link up with others on three of their double-wide lines making for a really wild ride!
Unlike some other parks, snow tubing is always open. Because they have a state-of-the-art snow making system, if skiing is open so is tubing.
The best part? Once you get to the bottom, getting back to the top is a breeze. They’ve got a super fast Wondercarpet lift, which means the trip to the top is just 2.5 minutes.
The keep the course open on evening as well, which adds an extra level of fun when it’s not a school night.
Another fun element of weekend riding? Cosmic Tubing! Rude under neon lights and music pumped through the full-mountain sound system.
There are more than 150 tubes available to rent, so you probably won’t have to worry about being shut out and having to wait for someone to return theirs.
Snow tubing is a great way to enjoy winter without going through the lessons of skiing. It’s quick, easy and un-fussy, which is why we love it compared to skiing.
