When the weather is warm, the sun is out and that means it's time to get out and enjoy the beauty of New Hampshire! While most outdoor endeavors can be tackled year-round, there's just something special about appreciating all the New Hampshire waterfalls when they're flowing. Especially on a hike leading to two waterfalls in New Hampshire! Even more special is that the route begins behind a historic train depot, giving a dose of history with your hike. So before you Google "waterfall hikes in New Hampshire" to determine your next waterfall hiking adventure, check out this trail!

The short hike to Beecher and Pearl Cascades begins behind the Crawford Depot in Carroll. The station was built in 1891 and still operates today as a scenic railroad.

White Mountain National Forest covers 750,852 acres and has numerous trails that twist and turn throughout. Finding trail markers and signs can be a challenge in this dense area, so be sure to pick up a map at the head of the trail system before heading out on your journey.

The station is right next to the Appalachian Mountain Club. Head behind the station, carefully cross the tracks, and you'll find the Avalon trailhead.

Follow the trails to one of the best waterfall hikes in New Hampshire! Remember to prepare for outdoor elements as this northeastern state has all four seasons of the year.

This is the same route to a number of other things to see, so feel free to head back and try the others once you've taken in Beech and Pearl Cascades. Dogs are allowed on this fun and exciting trail as well!

You'll be looking for the Cascade Loop.

Depending on the time of year, bringing bug spray might be a great idea, as well as plenty of water to stay comfortable during your hiking adventure.

The trail is about a half-mile and includes about 254′ in elevation gain.

Watch your footing! Elevation changes, hills, and rocky terrain can make this a tricky hike, but it is sure to add to the excitement, too!

Beecher Cascade is about 25 feet and looks absolutely beautiful in the sunshine.

Pearl Cascade is just as lovely!
