The time has come for winter adventures and there's no better place to have them than at one of our favorite resorts in the state! Lots of lanes also means being able to enjoy the experience with friends. Head to the top together on the resort's brand new SunKid conveyor lift and then race each other down!
Each session is two-hours and start times run from noon to 6 p.m. depending on the day. Each one is great, but we especially love the experience at night.
Gunstock Mountain snowtubing park offers a variety of start times. You can book a 2-hour time Tuesday through Friday at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., Saturday at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. and on Sunday at 10 a.m., 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Tickets are $32. Why We Love It: It's taken several trips for me to figure out my perfect "weekender bag that's TSA approved," but I've found my perfect carry on with the TOBIQ Colorado 30L. An Instagram ad caught my eye during a late-night scroll session and I was intrigued by the colorful compartments and versatility of the bag, which can be carried as a duffle or as a backpack (I prefer the backpack for even weight distribution and airport navigation.) Why I Love It: Fact: Airplanes are notoriously dry, dry, dry. No matter how much water I drink both before and during the flight, I always find myself in a hydration deficit for days. Santa's Village is one of New Hampshire's best-kept secrets, but that doesn't mean it hasn't been around for years. Originally the passion project of Jefferson locals Normand and Cecile Dubois, the amusement park debuted in 1953 on Father's Day. Since then, it's become a long-standing feature of beloved family memories in The Granite State.
From its humble beginnings featuring pony rides and North Pole cameos, Santa's Village has grown leaps and bounds. It now includes 23 rides designed for children under 13.
Do you want to escape the worst of the afternoon sun? Duck into one of the park's three theaters for a 3-D movie or a live performance. You can check the calendar in advance to see what's on the docket during your visit.
Who said a Santa-themed amusement park can't include summertime activities? Santa's Water Park, the crown jewel for warm-weather visitors, is open from late May to early September. Work up an appetite in the sprinklers and grab a bite at The Merry Mess Hall next door, which serves generous— and totally delicious— cones of soft-serve ice cream.
Word of advice: bring a spare set of clothes if you plan on hitting the rides and the water park. Shirts and shoes are required for the kid-friendly rollercoasters, and no one likes wearing soggy socks.
Not Christmas? No problem! Santa may be in Fiji on holiday, but his team of reindeer are permanent residents of the village. Pay your respects at Reindeer Rendezvous, where cuddles are encouraged and treats provided for a small $2 fee.
