Exploring the outdoors is a great way to explore the state. From hikes to walks to swims and everything in between, if you're looking for fresh air and natural attractions you're in the right place! But not every beautiful attraction requires hard work and effort. This waterfall with no hiking necessary in New Hampshire is a great way to take in the state's beauty without working up a sweat.
Beaver Brook Falls in Colebrook is so easy to find you'd have to go out of your way to miss it! It's located just off of Route 145. As soon as you see the sign, pull in and you'll find the parking area.
As soon as you pull in you'll see a grassy area just in front of the waterfall. This is a great place to enjoy a snack and see the falls in the fresh air.
But, if you prefer you can also stay inside the car. That's how close you'll be!
Each season brings a different flow of water, too. That means you'll have a good excuse to go back many times throughout the year. In the spring you're likely to find the water flowing quickly with all the snow melt from the mountains.
And in the winter after snowfall, the area is an icy wonderland.
We love that you can see Beaver Brook Falls from inside your car, but if you'd like to see it up-close there's also a short trail over a footbridge leading a bit closer.
This is truly one of the most beautiful natural features in the state and it's extra-special since so many people can enjoy it.
Beaver Brook Falls can be found (unsurprisingly!) in Beaver Brook Falls State Wayside in Colebrook.
