These hikes are the ones with the best views, unexpected features, and most interesting natural elements. This hike, leading to three different waterfalls, is one of those. If you're wondering to yourself, "are there any waterfalls near me?" Well, this scenic hike has got you covered. It's not easy, but it's absolutely worth it if you love time outside.
The Purgatory Brook Trail near Wilton is a 5-mile trail leading through the woods and ultimately to three different waterfalls.
Three waterfalls in one hike? No wonder it's one of the best waterfall hikes in New Hampshire. Three for the price of one!

And remember to always stay on the trail to prevent injury. You wouldn't want to get lost in the woods!
The trail itself is made up of hard-packed dirt, but that doesn't make it entirely easy.
Make sure you've got your good hiking boots on before you tackle this waterfall trail in New Hampshire.
You'll come to the first waterfall quickly, in about ten minutes.
You'll want to spend some time here enjoying the sights.
After this, the trail gets slightly smaller and more narrow.
You'll also find some roots and rock so be sure to keep your eyes along the trail.
Much of the route follows the water, which makes this a wonderfully peaceful trail.
There are plenty of hiking trails with waterfalls in New Hampshire, but the serenity you'll find along this trail is second to none.
And there are lots of pools to see, too.
Along with the brook and the waterfalls, there are some fun features like short footbridges that kids love.
Each waterfall is slightly different, so you'll want to check them all out.
Continue on after the falls to the top of Purgatory Hill.
Then continue on!
This is a wonderful trail to take if you have the full day to spend outside.
Note that there are a few parking lots that will provide access to the route, but they're not all open for use at all times. Be sure to check the link below to see what other hikers are reporting.
Purgatory Brook Trail is accessible year-round, but always be cautious when exploring the outdoors during the winter or when it's rainy.
