A beach in Nevada? Are you kidding? I can hear it now. In fact, with the large number of Nevada lakes, beaches are not unheard of. While they may not compare to the likes of Hawaii, California, or Florida, Nevadans have plenty of fun in the sun and water. Perhaps the most underrated beach in the entire state is the appropriately named Nevada Beach at Lake Tahoe. Take a look at this beauty.
Nevada Beach is located on Highway 50, just two miles east of the Nevada-California border.
Boating, fishing, water-skiing, and kite-boarding are popular activities at this beautiful and usually uncrowded beach.
Nevada Beach is peaceful, quiet and quite large, measuring 0.7 miles long, and, in some areas, the sand is over 300 yards wide.
One of Nevada's hidden treasures, Nevada Beach has the whitest sand in the entire state as well as some pretty spectacular views.
You can enjoy the jaw-dropping views of Mount Tallac and Heavenly Ski Resort from Nevada Beach.

Even the doggies love Nevada Beach! Along with Kiva Beach, this is one of only two dog-friendly Lake Tahoe beaches. While your canine friends are not allowed along the entire beach, the south end has a place reserved just for them where they can even take a dip and play in the waves.
The beach/campground has several picnic areas and barbecue grills. In fact, every campsite has a picnic table, grill, campfire ring, and food storage locker. Flush toilets and drinking water are also nearby.

Visitors can hike or bike the 2.6-mile historic Watah Trail through the woods near the lake. The trail ends at the beach.
