Winter in Nevada can be cold, painful, and downright brutal.
Well, no matter where you live in Nevada, you can expect some cold weather and snow this year. Winter weather predictions in Nevada suggest above-normal temperatures in most areas with the coldest periods around late November and again in late January.
However, temperatures in the desert are expected to be colder than normal. Mid-November, mid-to-late December, and early February are predicted to have the coldest temperatures and March is expected to have temperatures an average of three degrees lower. Brrrrrr!
According to the Farmers' Almanac, Nevada, California, Arizona, and Utah can expect plenty of snow, especially in areas within the western Rocky Mountains. In fact, snowfall is expected to be average or even above average.
Most snow is expected in mid-November, early-to-mid January, and mid-March.
