Who wants to go on a hike through a canyon to a waterfall? We've got one for you! The Ice Box Canyon Trail in Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is wonderful. This moderately challenging trail will take you through incredible desert vistas that will take your breath away and will lead you to a small waterfall. This is a popular trail for good reason, and you're going to love everything about it. Read on to learn more.

Are you up for a hike in one of the most beautiful places in our great state? This hike through Ice Box Canyon is one that you'll always remember.

It's a bit too hot for most people in the summertime, but you'll love hiking this trail from May to September. The aptly named Ice Box Canyon will be a bit cooler than the surrounding areas when you get there.

This hike is about 2.1 miles out-and-back. You'll gain 439 feet of elevation on the way to the waterfall, but it's pretty much all downhill on the way back to your car.

There are some places where this trail isn't well marked, but you can just follow other hikers who know the way. You'll first pass through open space that is filled with cacti and other plants.

You may even get to see some that are in bloom!

There's a good chance that you'll see some desert wildlife on this route, too.

The last bit of the trail on the way to the waterfall will involve some bouldering and scrambling, so be ready for it.

Eventually, you'll reach the waterfall. Admittedly, this waterfall isn't full of rushing water; it's really just a trickle.

It still counts as a waterfall, though!

The water runs down the rocks and collects in the stream bed below. You'll probably want to relax here for a while in the shade before heading back down the trail.

The views on the way back down are just as beautiful as they are on the way up!

This is one of the more challenging trails in Red Rock Canyon, but it's one that is well worth it. The waterfall may be small - this is the desert, after all - but this is still one of the very best waterfall trails in Nevada, if you ask me.
