Big Rocks is probably most beloved by the rock climbing community, but there are all types of recreational opportunities in this strange and stunning landscape. Climbing, camping, hiking, horseback riding, and hunting are all welcome here.

You could spend days exploring the eye-popping topography, including all of its canyons, rocky outcroppings, and mountaintops. Situated just outside the wilderness area, Big Rocks North is home to a primitive camping area where you can set up your base camp for an overnight excursion.
Located 24-miles west of Caliente, Big Rocks Wilderness is where adventurers go to find solitude among Nevada's desert beauty. Be sure to pack all the proper supplies before heading out here, including plenty of food, water, and gasoline.
