1. Sierra Safari Zoo

Opened in 1989, Sierra Safari Zoo is considered the largest zoo in the entire state. This magnificent zoo is located north of Reno and contains 50 different animal species which you can observe up-close and personal. 2. Lion Habitat Ranch

Located in Henderson is a one-of-a-kind animal sanctuary that often goes unnoticed. The Lion Habitat Ranch is a true hidden gem and you'll definitely want to visit. The sanctuary is home to more than 40 animals including mostly lions and one giraffe. 3. Safe Haven Wildlife Sanctuary

Located in Imlay is a 160-acre sanctuary that offers both permanent housing and rehab/release programs for wild animals that have been orphaned or injured. You'll find a variety of animal species being cared for here including bobcats, cougars, tigers, lions, foxes, and more. 4. SeaQuest Interactive Aquarium

SeaQuest Interactive Aquarium is located at the Boulevard Mall in Las Vegas and it's unlike any other aquarium you've experienced before. Here you can interact with all kinds of aquatic species like tortoises, jellyfish, sharks, and more. 5. Sheldon National Wildlife Refuge

Tucked away in the northeastern section of Nevada is a massive 573,504-acre wildlife refuge. The high desert habitat is home to antelope, bighorn sheep, mule deer, sage grouse, and a lot more. The refuge is an ideal adventure for those who like to explore Nevada's most remote regions. In this vast landscape you'll find all sorts of treasures including waterfalls, springs, gorges, hills, and more.

6. Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge

Located within the Amargosa Valley is a hidden oasis known as Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge. The Virginia Range can be found in northwest Nevada and is considered to be the absolute best place to view wild horses. 9. Bonnie Springs Ranch Petting Zoo

Bonnie Springs Ranch is located near Las Vegas and contains a multitude of unique attractions like an Old West Town, motel, horseback riding, and even a petting zoo. The zoo is open seven days a week and provides visitors with a hands-on and educational experience. Here you can find animal species both native and foreign to Nevada. 10. Flamingo Habitat

Located inside of the Flamingo Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas is a 15-acre tropical rainforest habitat that is home to an exhibit of flamingo birds.
