Beautiful Nashville, Tennessee is known as an area that experiences every season at least once a year. We're not the deep south, where you lose your winters to a fairly temperate holiday season and boil through the summer, and we're definitely not the far north where winter stretches straight through spring. No, we have four seasons and we love our state for it. These seven Nashville parks are perfect for strolling no matter the season, and we're completely in love.
1. Sevier Park - 3021 Lealand Lane
Sevier Park is located in the heart of the 12 South neighborhood, and it boasts rolling hills, multiple playgrounds, a basketball court and a community center. It's a great spot for families, especially those toting little ones, and is a fun spot to visit before wandering the 12 South strip.
2. Centennial Park - 2500 West End Avenue
Perhaps one of the most popular parks in the city, Centennial Park is home to the well-known Parthenon replica and has a running trail, outdoor amphitheater and expansive grounds perfect for picnics and parties.
3. Edwin & Percy Warner Parks - Various Locations
Possibly best known for the almost seventeen miles of hiking trails and the 3,200 acres of natural beauty, the Warner Parks are well-trafficked throughout the year. They are two of the major parks in the county and make for beautiful experiences throughout the year.
4. Radnor Lake- 1160 Otter Creek Road
This beautiful Brentwood-locale is 1,332 acres and has a lake loop trail that rings the entirety of the beautiful, man-made water feature. You'll find all sorts of animals in the area and the Nature Center is great if you're looking to learn more about the park.
5. Shelby Bottoms Nature Center & Greenway
The ever-popular Shelby Bottoms is great for folks who are looking to experience the gardens and trails of East Nashville for free. There's a playground for little ones, baseball fields for Little League games and trails perfect for running, biking, or perhaps even rollerblading if you're adventurous enough. 6. Peeler Park - 2271 Neelys Bend Road
Located in Madison, just north of Nashville, Peeler Park is one of the city's best-kept secrets. The greenway is great for running and cycling, and there's even a boat ramp if you'd rather putter your way down the Cumberland River.
7. Bicentennial Park - 600 James Robertson Parkway
This urban state park is located right outside of downtown Nashville, right next to the popular Farmers' Market. It was built to commemorate 200 years of statehood, and the walking trails, monuments and summertime splash pad makes it great for folks of all ages.
