Montana's largest state park, Makoshika covers over 11,000 acres of our state and word is getting out about how marvelous it is.
Attracting curious onlookers each year, visitors come to to Makoshika State Park to explore all of the unique treasures and rock formations that are hidden inside here.
Makoshika features scenic drives that will allow you to take in the sights of everything that falls within this state park right from your car.
Those who are interested in exploring more of the park can take advantage of its many trails that will lead you to jaw-dropping scenery.
And if you didn't already know... this park is also filled with plenty of dinosaur fossils!
Over 60 million years ago the park was thriving with dinosaurs and to date at least 10 different species of them have been found within Makoshika.
While you're adventuring through Makoshika's breathtaking badlands, keep your eyes open and you'll be able to view wildlife.
For those who are interested in seeing all that the park has to offer, they can take advantage of the over 20 camping sites that are in Makoshika as well!
