Do you love animals and plants and the world around you? ZooMontana happens to be Montana's only combination zoo and botanical park. Here, you can appreciate both flora and fauna together in one place. If you love arboretums and zoos alike, it only makes sense to bookmark a spot like this for a future visit. When in Billings, why not stop by for a little adventure?
Welcome to ZooMontana, a zoological and botanical garden in one, simultaneously providing education on wildlife from around the world and beauty in the art of an arboretum.
ZooMontana is all about quality of life over quantity of animals, and that is the best way to be.
After all, having more animals than you can feed isn't a good way to take adequate care of all of them.
Familiar animals such as bears and wolves call this zoo their home, alongside many other species you may not expect.
Creatures from tarantulas to kookaburras call this place home, and they live their best lives safe and well-fed. It's such a great opportunity to learn about these animals, don't you think?
Fluffy and scaly faces of all shapes and sizes are here for any age of visitor to enjoy and learn about.
Out of the 56 different species that call this zoo home, there is bound to be one that you like just a little bit more than the others.
Hours depend on season, with winter hours running from 10 a.m. to doors closing at 2 p.m., and summer hours running from 10 a.m. to doors closing at 4 p.m.
The park officially closes for the day an hour after the doors close, to make sure everything flows smoothly.
Though many of the animals here are well equipped for Montana's weather and don't care about human holidays, the park does close for all holidays and anytime the temperature is estimated at or below 0 degrees.
Stay safe and warm - the animals will be here when you return!
