No offense to TLC, but chasing waterfalls is actually a lot of fun in Montana. That's why we created our beautiful waterfalls road trip guides. However, some counties in "The Treasure State" are blessed with more of these natural treasures than others. In fact, you'll find about 15 waterfalls near me in Gallatin County alone, and we've listed some of them below.
Gallatin County is the third most populated place in Montana, but this beautiful area is so much more than Bozeman.
You'll find mountains, canyons, nature hikes, and an abundance of waterfalls here.
Palisade Falls in Montana is a popular spot in any season, especially since the trail to reach it is nice and short.
It's a 1-mile, out-and-back trek that's perfect for families.
Grotto Falls is a nearby gem.
It's a bit more of a workout to reach this trail, but not by much. It's only 2.4 miles in its entirety.
The popular Hyalite Creek Trail features several stunning falls, including Champagne Falls.
This 12-mile trail is absolutely beautiful.
Located near Gallatin Gateway, Ousel Falls in Montana sits at the end of an easy, 1.6-mile hike.
Just make sure you go in the summertime to avoid ice.
Arch Falls is another beauty you'll see on the Hyalite Creek Trail, and it's a very popular spot since it isn't difficult to reach.
The Pioneer Falls Trail is located near Ennis.
Some of the other beautiful waterfalls of Gallatin County, Montana include Twin Falls, Shower Falls, Silken Skein Falls, and the famous HooDoo Cascade. And if you're looking for an easy hike that takes you to two stunning waterfalls, head to Glacier National Park and find this trail.
