Do you have any favorite fall traditions? Autumn in Montana is especially stunning, and typically there are plenty of events and festivals to choose from to help us celebrate the season. And while many of those won't be happening this year, you can count on the Applestem Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch returning for another year. Farms were made for social distancing, so fill your gas tank and head to Lewis and Clark County for a great time getting lost in the corn fields.
You might remember this as the monstrous corn maze in Vaughn.
But last year, the family moved their operations from Vaughn to the tiny community of Craig, where their farm is.
The farm is located on Craig Frontage Road on the banks of the Missouri River, and it's an absolutely delightful place to visit.
The cows, sheep, ponies, horses, and goats enjoy the visitors as well.
Every year, the 10-acre corn field is carved into miles and miles of beautiful trails.
And each year, a different theme is chosen.
In 2019, the corn maze stayed closed as the team worked to move the operation, so this year's opening will feel extra special.
The 2020 dates for the corn maze are September 26th - November 1st.
The corn maze is a blast, but it can definitely be tricky to navigate.
Luckily, there is a smaller Hay Maze and a Net Maze for little ones who want to explore, too.
Throughout the season, you'll find all kinds of fun family-friendly activities on the farm.
From the pumpkin patch to the hay rides to occasional activities like duck races, the little ones in your life will never be bored when they visit.
This year's corn maze is modeled after the Wizard of Oz.
That makes a lot of sense considering the maze has finally been moved to its home (and there's no place like it).
Ready to celebrate all things fall? Applestem Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch is almost open!
