The more than 1,800-acre state park boasts a beautiful sandy beach, where you can stake out a spot for relaxing on a beach towel or a beach chair.
Before or after cooling off in Long Branch Lake, start or join an impromptu game of beach volleyball. Or, how does building a good, old-fashioned sandcastle sound?
Bring a picnic along for a leisurely meal at one of the picnic tables that sits shaded under towering trees. You can also grab a bite to eat from the Marina Store, which sells ice cream, cold drinks, and other goodies.
If you're up for spending time on the water, head over to the Marina Store to rent a kayak, a canoe, or a paddle board. You can also rent a knee board or a tube.
Kiddos still bursting with energy as the day wears on? Relax as they play on the playground that has all of the classics - swings, tunnels, and a sliding board.
