Well, let us introduce your new favorite swimming spot at this secluded lake inside Cuivre River State Park. Explore the river or lounge at the sandy lakefront beach all in one fantastic state park.
Cuirve River State Park is a large state park just about an hour north of St. Louis. The park is perfect for hiking, horseback riding, boating, fishing, camping, and more.
Located inside the park is Lake Lincoln. This hidden lake is a great spot for boating, fishing, and swimming.
The swimming beach opened on May 25th for the season. Swimmers can hit the beach everyday from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.
If you're looking for more waterfront fun, take a kayak out on the lake. If you're 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license, you can rent a kayak or paddle board for $5 an hour.
The 55 acre lake is well stocked with largemouth bass, bluegill, and channel catfish. Whether you're casting from your boat or from the shore, you're likely to reel in a great catch!
In addition to lovely Lincoln Lake, you can also find stunning views at Cuivre River State Park. After you swim the day away catch the sunset from Frenchman's Bluff overlook for the perfect day at the park.
