2. Blue Spring – Eminence
Blue Spring ranks at number eight for the deepest springs in Missouri, measuring 301 feet at its deepest point. However, this natural spring is a crowd-pleaser for its breathtaking blue water. 3. Welch Spring – Jadwin
Boasting a breathtaking shade of turquoise, Welch Spring sits right along the ruins of an old hospital. When you visit, you’ll get to admire the beautiful water and if you’re up for the hike, explore all that remains of the former hospital. Blue Spring may be the eighth deepest spring in the state, but Welch Spring is the eighth largest spring in Missouri.
4. Alley Spring – Eminence
Bring the whole family along on this kid-friendly trail that tallies just under 1.5 miles and offers breathtaking views of Alley Spring. That, however, is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. A picturesque path leads to Greer Spring, a stunningly blue spring and the second largest spring in Missouri. More than 222 million gallons flow from the spring each day. Follow the moderately-rated trail that's lush with green in most seasons and passes such beauty as a footbridge, a gentle waterfall, and a cave.
