If you haven't or if it's been a while, plan a trip over. It's bursting with activities, natural beauty, and even a breathtaking hidden gem.
Roaring River State Park in Cassville has earned props two years in a row - in 2020 and 2021 - as the most visited state park in Missouri.
Just under two-million visitors made their way to Roaring River State Park in 2021 to discover its many gems, including the Roaring River Fish Hatchery.
The fish hatchery is one of Missouri's oldest trout hatcheries.
That makes it pretty unsurprising then, that, fishing is a hugely popular pastime at the more than 4,000-square foot Missouri state park.
Roaring River State Park is also home to Roaring River Spring - a hidden gem and the 20th largest spring in Missouri, producing more than 20 million gallons of water each day.
Tallying 472 feet, the spring boasts vibrant blue water. It also marks the start of Roaring River.
You probably won't find a more unique backdrop for photos in the entire park.
A visit to the spring is a must, but there's still so much to do afterward. Wear sturdy shoes, so you can check out one (or more) of the nearly dozen trails.
The park's also home to picnic areas, playgrounds, and an inn with a dining room.
Not ready to leave after a day of fun? You can check into the on-site inn, or if you're up for roughing it a bit, pitch a tent.
You will also find quiet spots along a tree-lined path for parking your RV.
