Discover a winter wonderland when you hit the Mina Sauk Falls Trail.
It is nestled in Taum Sauk Mountain State Park in Middle Brook.
The trail is rated between easy and moderate.
It extends 2.9-miles and Mina Sauk Falls is about halfway through the hike.
Most of the year, the majestic waterfall drops 132 feet into pools of shimmering water.
After a freeze, however, the waterfall transforms into large sheets of ice.
Follow the trail markers that will lead you on this immensely popular loop trail.
As you hike, you'll notice from signage that the Mina Sauk Falls Trail intersects with the Ozark Trail.
Before you set off on your hike, make sure you're dressed appropriately for the weather...

Mina Sauk Falls Trail can get pretty rocky, so be prepared.

Taum Sauk Mountain State Park is open from sunrise to sunset all year round.
