Get out your calendars and prep your fall adventures -- here's when and where we can expect Missouri’s fall foliage to peak in 2022.
Pull out the calendar and start making plans, because SmokyMountains.com has officially released its fall foliage predictions, including when to expect the leaves to peak in your area.
However, one thing is different about this year’s predictions. SmokyMountains.com, founded by David Angotti, will release a mid-season update, too. That means you’ll have an even better chance of catching the fall foliage at its peak.
If you live in the southwestern part of the state, you might be among the first to start seeing the leaves start to turn. Patchy fall foliage is expected the week of October 10th, with near-peak occurring the week of October 24th.
If you live in southwestern Missouri, you can catch peak fall foliage the week of Halloween. If you wait until after that week, you’ll miss out on the most colorful time of the season.
Northern Missouri will start seeing patchy fall colors beginning the week of October 17 followed by partial coverage the next week.

October 24th and the peak week of October 31st.
However, if you’re in the southeastern and southcentral part of the state, you’ll have to wait a bit longer for the fall foliage to arrive. Patchy coverage is expected the week of October 17; partial on October 24th,
and near peak on October 31st.
You’ll enjoy the leaves at their most brilliant and at their peak the week of November 7.
