Explore the historic village which has 18 structures that have been moved to the park for historical preservation.
During summer months visitors can take a 90-minute guided tour. The tours even provide access inside many of the structures. The buildings were all constructed between 1840 and 1910 and were all originally located within the St. Louis metro area.
During colder months, visitors can still walk around the grounds and tour some of the buildings. The historical village is extremely popular with local landscape photographers.
After touring the historic village, take your kids across the park to the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House. They house more than 1,500 free flying butterflies in their Tropical Conservatory. It's the perfect place to warm up in the winter.
In warmer months you can find a spectacular butterfly garden right outside the butterfly house. Its the perfect little spot for taking in all the beauty of nature.
While in Faust Park, it's essential to take a ride on the St. Louis Carousel. This amazing ride has been in operation in the St. Louis area since 1929.
On this antique carousel you'll find 60 hand-carved horses and four deer to ride inside the climate controlled building. Rides are $2 per person or $5 for three rides.
The on-site, outdoor playground is also a big hit with kids. This park truly has it all!
