Let's go on an adventure today, Missouri! Do you like the heart-pounding excitement of flying through the air on a zipline? Or, do you prefer keeping your feet on the ground as you maneuver your ATV over rugged terrain? You'll find both - and more - at this adventure park in Missouri that promises fun for the whole family.
Get ready for a day of non-stop, action-packed excitement at The Shepherd of the Hills Adventure Park, in Branson, which features activities for the whole family.
If you've never ziplined and just want to try it or if you prefer a laid back adventure, gear up for the Zipline Canopy Tour. Choose from either four short ziplines, four long ziplines, or both on the picturesque adventure.
Kids three and older are permitted on the Zipline Canopy Tour. The canopy tour, which doesn't require hiking or climbing stairs, appeals to adventurers of all ages.
What if, however, you're craving some fast-paced, heart-stopping excitement? Set sail from 170 feet above the ground on the Vigilante Extreme Ziprider, which spans more than a half of a mile.
You'll buckle in to a seat for your ride on the Vigilante Extreme Ziprider, which reaches speeds of up to 50 miles per hour.
If you like spending time high above the ground, you'll definitely want to try the ropes course. The adventure park, in fact, features a ropes course for the adults and a kiddie rope course.
Admire the sweeping views of the landscape before you as you work your way through the sky-high attraction.
What if you prefer keeping your feet planted firmly on the ground? Head straight for the Off-Road ATV Adventure, where you will explore the back roads.
If you've never driven an ATV before, you can book a one-hour adventure with instruction from a guide. Four individuals can ride in an ATV at one time.
When you're ready to slow things down, head over to Inspiration Tower (where you launched on your zipline adventure) for spectacular views of the Ozark Mountains.
The Inspiration Tower earned its moniker as it sits on the same spot author Harold Bell Wright penned The Shepherd of the Hills.
Shepherd of the Hills also features a kids play area with mini golf, and it hosts tours of the Historic Homestead, the setting of Wright's book.
Don't forget to visit again during the holiday season for the spectacular Trail of Lights and a North Pole Adventure (pictured above).
