There is nothing quite like fresh picked fruit. For some reason it tastes even better when you pick it yourself. There are lots of great family owned orchards and farms across the state where you can go and pick berries, peaches, apples, and more! Check out these 8 Missouri farms and bring home the freshest fruit this summer.
1. Schweizer Orchards - St. Joseph
Schweizer Orchards are know for their juicy peaches and crisp apples. Stop by the market and pick up treats made from the produce or cool off wish a slushy after a day of picking.
Schweizer's has a huge area for kids to play and lots of tables to enjoy treats at. Visit them at 5455 SE State Route Ff, Saint Joseph.
2. Centennial Farms - Augusta
Centennial Farms has been operating in Augusta since 1854 but the first orchards weren't planted until 1969. You can find blueberries, blackberries, peaches, apples, and pumpkins
Centennial Farms is typically only open on Saturdays and Sundays during summer months. Be sure to come back in the fall to enjoy all the festivities in the pumpkin patch. Centennial Farms is locates at 199 Jackson St, Augusta.
3. Sunshine Valley Farmstand - Rogersville
Shunshine Valley Farmstand grows blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, apples, and peaches. Blueberry season is currently in full swing!
Pick your own days are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday all season long. You can also find an assortment of vegetables available. Visit Sunshine Valley Farmstand at 8011 E. AD Highway, Rogersville.
4. Thierbach Orchards & Berry Farm - Marthasville
Theirbach is a berry pickers dream! Find strawberries, cherries, blueberries, peaches, blackberries, gooseberries, and apples.
Typically some of the berry seasons cross over so you can pick two types of berries during one visit. Visit soon if you are hoping to pick fresh cherries. Find Thierbach at 15885 Orchard Ln, Marthasville.
5. West Orchards - Macon
West Orchards has 17 varieties of apples, peaches, apricots, and pears. During apple season you can get your picks pressed into apple cider on site.
In addition to the orchards they produce honey. Find West Orchards at 25875 Jewell Ave, Macon.
6. Pate's Orchard and Produce - Stockton
Find Peaches, Tomatoes, Green Beans, Apples, Blackberries, Strawberries, Jams and Jellies at Pate's Orchard and Produce. Tomato season is in full swing!
Be sure to get a bacon and tomato sandwich when you visit! Find Pate's at 512 N 4th St, Stockton.
7. Purple Gate Farm - Highlandville
You can find berries, apples, peaches and more at Purple Gate Farm. When the gate is open, they're open.
Purple Gate Farm is organic and pesticide free. They also keep bees and make organic honey. You can visit Purple Gate Farm at 416 Poplar Dr, Highlandville.

Buckeye Acres Produce grows a wide variety of berries and vegetables available to pick. In the summer months you can find strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries.
