From the beaches on the Gulf Coast to those tucked away in state parks and campgrounds, the Magnolia State is home to some amazing beaches. One of the best, however, is definitely Old Bridge Beach. A true hidden gem, it’s located in the unincorporated community New Site. Featuring crystal clear water and some of the whitest, most pristine sand in the state, Old Bridge Beach is the perfect place to cool off on a hot, summer day. Check it out:
Old Bridge Beach is located just off of Highway 4 and Prentiss County Road 3501 in New Site, MS.
Featuring a stretch of soft, pristine sand, it's the perfect place for everything from sunbathing to building sand castles.
Another appeal of Old Bridge Beach is the water. It's situated on Bay Springs Lake and has some of the clearest water in the state, making it a great spot for swimming.
A great place to spend the entire day, the beach also includes a playground, fishing pier, restrooms, two covered shelters, picnic tables, grills, outdoor showers, and a volleyball court.
The beautiful beach is maintained by the US Army Corps of Engineers and can be accessed for a small fee.
Currently, the fee is $4, which covers one vehicle of up to 8 people.
A local favorite, Old Bridge Beach tends to get pretty crowded during the summer, so be sure to get there early.
