This man-made lake, which has about 148 miles of shoreline and holds 35,820 acres of water, is a popular spot for water enthusiasts.

Located in the Little Black Creek campground, this 640-acre lake is the perfect day-trip destination. After spending a day on the water, explore the campground, where you’ll be able to take part in a ton of activities that include everything from horseback riding to zip-lining.

8. Prentiss Walker Lake, Mize

This 81-acre lake is the focal point of the Prentiss Walker Lake Campground, which includes both primitive and RV sites, piers, and pavilions.

9. Lake Monroe, Aberdeen
