Several months ago, we told you about the drive-thru safaris at Safari Wild Animal Park and Preserve. And while the drive-thru safari is a must when visiting the park, it’s not the only option for animal-related fun. In fact, Safari Wild offers several ways for visitors to have some wild fun. Take a look:
Located in Como, Safari Wild is a 450-acre drive-thru safari park and wild animal preserve.
The only one of its kind in the state, the drive-thru safari allows visitors to get close-up views of wildlife – all from the comfort of their own vehicles.
Offering an authentic African safari experience, the park is home to an array of wildlife. Zebras, llamas, ostriches, and aoudad are just a few of the animals you'll see at Safari Wild.
During the safari, you’ll be treated to close-up views of the park’s wildlife. You’re even allowed to toss feed out of the car windows, drawing the animals closer for a better look.
But safaris aren’t the only way to get close to the animals. Safari Wild offers several animal encounters that’ll get you incredibly close to park’s wildlife.
Camel rides are one of the several animal encounters offered.
Available on weekends only, a ride, which is $8, is suitable for visitors ages 3 and up.
Another animal encounter, giraffe feeding is fun for all ages.
Available during the park’s normal hours, feeding the giraffes will cost you just $5…
…but will create memories that are priceless.
Giraffes aren’t the only animals you can feed, though. You can also feed the lorikeets for just $5.
A petting zoo is another option for getting close to the animals at Safari Wild. Even better, a visit is included with regular admission, which is $16 for adults and $12 for kids 2 – 12.
With so many options, you're bound to have a wildly good time at Safari Wild!
Safari Wild Animal Park and Preserve is open daily 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. For more information, call (662) 526-0001. You can also visit the park’s website or Facebook page.
