There are also some easily accessible waterfalls in Mississippi – and Dunn’s Falls is one of them. Part of a park, it's just a short walk from the parking lot, making it not only one of the best waterfall hikes in Mississippi but one of the shortest, too!
Located in Enterprise, Dunn’s Falls Water Park boasts lots of great features, including a waterfall with a water wheel.
The towering 65-foot waterfall is the state’s tallest – and also one of the most striking.
Luckily, getting a view of the waterfall is as easy as can be. From the parking area, you’ll take a short stroll, and before you know it...
...you’re at the top of the fall.
While at the top of the fall, you’ll be afforded up-close views of the iconic water wheel. You can also explore the nearby grist mill, which dates back to 1857.
Once you've finished admiring Dunn's Falls from above, trek down the steps that lead to the base of the fall.
From the bottom, you’ll get a whole new perspective on Dunn’s Falls.
On a hot day, you can even splash around in its flowing waters.
And since Dunn's Falls flows into the Chunky River, which is known for its clear, pristine water, it's a great spot for a dip.
Other perks of Dunn’s Falls Water Park include paddleboat and boat rentals, primitive camping, a cabin, nature trails, and picnic areas.
