Luckily, there are plenty of places to cool off in the Magnolia State. Aside from beaches, lakes, and swimming holes, there are plenty of Mississippi waterparks, which are perfect for some refreshing fun. So, the next time the heat is just too much to bear, check out one of the best waterparks in Mississippi and take your summer to a whole new level!
1. Geyser Falls Water Theme Park (Choctaw)
Featuring more than a dozen water slides, a pool, lake, cabanas, full service restaurant, and tiki bar, it’s no wonder Geyser Falls has been named the "Southeast’s #1 family attraction." If you’re feeling adventurous during your visit, be sure to check out the Backsplash – a backwards waterslide that's sure to please your inner thrill-seeker.
2. Buccaneer Bay (Waveland)
Part of Buccaneer State Park, this 4.5-acre water park overlooks the Gulf of Mexico and includes several slides, a wave pool, snack bar, and more.
3. Gulf Islands Water Park (Gulfport)
Whether you’re looking to ride some slides or simply catch a few rays, Gulf Islands Water Park has got you covered. The island-themed park features a relaxing lazy river, cabanas, thrilling slides, and water rides, such as the Camille Cutter, a rafting adventure, and the Horn Island Blaster, the Gulf Coast’s only water rollercoaster.
4. The Aquatics Center at the Kroc Center (Biloxi)
Located inside Biloxi’s Kroc Center, this indoor water park is a great place to spend a summer day – rain or shine. Perfect for all ages, it includes a water slide, splash pad, lazy river, and pool.
5. Yogi on the Lake (Pelahatchie)
This all-in-one water park, RV park, and campground is the perfect family destination. The Wet-n-Wild Waterpark is made up of Yogi’s Water Town, a swimming pool, splash playground, and a beach.
6. Grand Paradise Waterpark (Collins)
Located in Collins, Grand Paradise Waterpark sits on seven acres - every last bit of which is packed with fun. The park features several slides perfect for adventure seekers, like the SuperLOOP, a speed slide with an 80-degree drop, and the MultiBUMP Splash Drop, which sends riders down a series of vertical drops. If being a daredevil isn’t in your nature, don’t worry – there’s a relaxing lazy river that you're sure to love.
7. Merit Water Park (Mendenhall)
Perfect for all those nature lovers out there, this 25-acre park is located in Simpson County on Rials Creek. No, there aren’t any waterslides here, but Merit Water Park does feature a beautiful waterfall, an old-fashioned swimming hole, and a sand and rock creek-side beach. And since Rials Creek is spring-fed, the water is nice and cold all year long.
