Lake Maria State Park is a small but gorgeous spot near Monticello, Minnesota.
It's about 50 miles northwest of Minneapolis.
The park's beauty attracts 78,098 annual visitors.
There are 14 miles of hiking trails to enjoy, as well as 6.2 miles of cross-country ski trails.
Among the most lovely trails is the Anderson Loop Trail.

This 3-mile loop trail leads hikers along a snowy path through the forest.
The park is quiet throughout the year, but it is especially peaceful in the winter.

It offers a view over beautiful Minnesota prairie.
