2. Lookout Mountain (Cascade River State Park)
This mountain is the perfect hiking distance, and offers sweeping views of the North Shore scenery in every direction.
3. Gooseberry Falls
The three tiers of stunning waterfalls make this North Shore attraction known around the world for its sheer beauty.
4. Shovel Point
This point on Lake Superior is one of the most amazing to gaze at and from, and is beautiful in any season.
5. Iona's Beach
One of the best hidden beaches the beautiful colored rocks make this beach very unique and very picturesque. It also adds a fun sound effect to the water crashing against the shoreline.
6. The Witch Tree
"Little Spirit Cedar Tree" to the Ojibwa stands solitary on a rock way out on the shoreline. It's been a spiritual symbol for centuries because it so surprisingly weathers every Superior storm and hangs on to just a rock with a few gnarled roots.
7. Devil's Kettle
The mysterious falls at Judge C.R. Magney State Park that disappear into the depths of the earth never to resurface where we can find them make this North Shore river one of the most beautiful and baffling.

This picturesque peninsula in Grand Marais is known for the inspiration it provides to many. With 360 degree views of Superior there is nothing like walking out to the edge of the shore at this fascinating formation.
9. High Falls at Tettegouche
These epic 60 foot waterfalls at Tettegouche State Park lead down the Baptism River to the North Shore, and provide one of the most amazing viewpoints of the river and Lake Superior you'll ever see.
10. Palisade Head
One of the best views can be found from this stunning rock formation that rises hundreds of feet above the North Shore.

This amazing taconite dyed sand makes Black Beach truly unique among others on the North Shore, and the dark color of the sand makes the crystal clear lake water look even better.

With stunning sand dunes and a long scenic beach this point in Duluth at the bottom of the North Shore is truly one of the most amazing places to gaze at the vast waters of the lake and put your toes in the sand.
