Franconia Sculpture Park is a 100% free 43-acre park in Shafer, Minnesota. It's located at 29836 St. Croix Trail in Shafer.
The park is full of quirky sculptures - dozens of them, in fact.
The park hosts up to 40 artist residents each year.
They create works of art that are often place in the park for others to share. For this reason, many works have rotated in and out of the park since it opened in 1996.
There are many styles of sculpture that all sorts of interesting subject matter...
...so there's bound to be something that enchants everyone.
Visitors are free to walk the path leading around the garden to enjoy the sculptures at a distance.
But many of the sculptures are interactive. Visitors can climb into and on top of them.
One of the most popular parts of the park is a huge, colorful playground.
