Minnesota is full of great cities. From the Twin Cities to Rochester to Duluth and beyond, there are lively metropolitan areas in just about every region. They draw visitors thanks to their plentiful restaurants, shopping, and entertainment options - and rightly so. But that doesn't mean small-town Minnesota is doesn't have its fun. For example, the tiny town of Gibbon, Minnesota, is home to a tiny bowling alley that happens to draw visitors from miles around. If you're interested in a fun activity with a small-town vibe, consider a trip to Code3, a Minnesota bowling alley surrounded by farms and fields. Read on to learn more about this fun spot:
CODE3 Bowling & Party is a tiny bowling alley in Minnesota. Open since 1956, the bowling alley has been a community gathering place for decades. In 2017, it was revamped by new owners who saved it from becoming a warehouse.
The bowling alley is located in the small town of Gibbon, a community of less than 1,000 people about 85 miles southwest of Minneapolis. Given its rural location, the bowling alley is surrounded by Minnesota farmland. But that doesn't stop people from visiting.
Inside, you'll find a small but lively space. The bowling alley is decorated with a firefighting theme in honor of the current owner's past career.
The bowling alley has 8 lanes. It may be smaller than the large bowling alleys you'll find in the metro, but it serves this small community well.
In fact, the bowling alley often fills up on league nights. In addition, CODE3 also hosts parties! This is a great place for kids to have a birthday party.
One fun perk of the birthday party package is that every party comes with a custom-painted pin! These colorful pins can be customized in any theme. It's a fun, unique souvenir and a great reminder of a fun birthday party!
All in all, CODE3 is a great, small-town bowling alley. Its title of Minnesota's best bowling alley is well deserved. If you live in the area, consider paying a visit, and maybe even hosting a party there!
