This track through Minnesota's northern wilderness is not only beautiful. It's also been named one of the best walks in the United States by Outside.
The Border Route Trail is a gorgeous, 65-mile stretch of northern Minnesota wilderness. It crosses the Boundary Waters Canoe Wilderness Area not far from the Canadian border.
All hikers need a permit to hike the trail. You can pay and get your permit at the kiosk in the parking area. Then, it's time to hike!
