No doubt many of us are on the hunt for a nice, cool lake to float on, splash around in, and lounge by come summer. Well, you're in luck... we are the Great Lakes State, after all! Twin Lake is just north of Muskegon, an unassuming oasis for some family fun this summer.

Swim, have a picnic, play at the playground, or enjoy some beach volleyball.

Make a splash when you kayak in Twin Lake, any time of day.
There is a boat launch for your convenience, and a dog-friendly part of the lake too, where the pups can swim.
When you are finished making a splash in the lake, be sure to stay for a spectacular sunset.
A front-row seat for the 4th of July fireworks extravaganza over the lake would be pretty sweet indeed.
Did we mention the ice cream? The ice cream shop will likely seal the deal for the kids. You are going to want to have a banana split, a sundae, a flurry, or a cone before you go.
