The park offers opportunities in every season, from cross-country skiing to golfing to educational fun within an on-site nature center. You could return here every day and never have precisely the same experience.
At the heart of the park is Kent Lake, which comprises an impressive 1,200 acres. If you’re searching for a scenic and serene place to unwind, the aptly named Kent Lake Loop will take you around this body of water.
In total, the loop trail is 8.5 miles long – so you might want to tackle a short section before heading back. Or, if you’d like to experience the full loop, set aside about three hours to meander along the entire pathway.
The trail is conveniently paved, as it’s open for both pedestrians and cyclists. Along the way, you’ll pass under towering trees, enjoy lakeside beauty, spot wildlife, and appreciate plenty of fresh, clean air.
Dogs are allowed along the paved trail so long as they are kept leashed, so you can even bring your canine pal along for the journey. When you’re through, cool off with a dip at one of Kensington’s two beaches.
