Crisp fall air, vibrant foliage, peaceful water, and plenty of togetherness with loved ones… sound like paradise? If you’re ready for a fantastic autumn adventure, your dreams will soon come to life with a paddle down one of Michigan’s most marvelous rivers. Gather up a few friends or family members and head out to enjoy a serene journey on the Clinton River.
Clinton River Canoe & Kayak Rental operates from 37328 Utica Road in Sterling Heights.
This awesome organization offers canoe trips down the Clinton River itself through the end of October. You’re in for the ultimate outdoor adventure this autumn.
When you stop by, you’ll find several options to choose from. Visitors can embark on exciting canoe or kayak trips that last anywhere from one to three hours.
For a chance to experience the fall foliage, we recommend the General Paddle option. Reservations are required and trips depart at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m.
All trips meet in Sterling Heights and make their way through patches of brilliant foliage along the river, including a section that stretches through beautiful Dodge Park.
If you opt for a kayak, rental costs are $30, $35, or $40 respectively for 1, 2, or 3 hour trips. Canoe rentals for the same time intervals are priced at $45, $50, and $55.
As if that weren’t enough, Clinton River Canoe & Kayak Rental is a family-operated business, so you can feel good about supporting a genuine Michigan-made business.
By the time your journey down this scenic riverway has ended, you’ll be completely enamored with the sights and sounds of fall. What better way to celebrate autumn?
