This time of year is perfect for venturing out into the country. And there are just so many reasons to do so - the pumpkin patches, cider, and hayrides. But there's also this wonderful tradition that takes over many farms across the state and that's the corn maze. These things are such fun for the whole family, but they're also really cool because of the awesome designers organizers come up with for the courses. Check 'em out here. We think you'll like them.
9) Alber Orchard and Cider Mill, Manchester
This year at this 7-acre maze, the theme is paying tribute to troops, with the course's design featuring troops of Iwo Jima.
8) Amazing Acres Corn Maze and Pumpkin Farm
During the day here, you'll be in for a family-friendly excursion. Come nightfall, grab a flashlight and prepare yourself for a scary challenge.
7) CornFun Corn Maze Adventure, Casco Township
Come experience a 20-acre labrynthe, either by day or by night. And just look at that Detroit pride in the design.
6) Crane Orchards U-Pick, Fennville
The maze here presents visitors with a different challenge every year, as no two courses are ever quite alike.
5) Ed Dunneback and Girls Fruit Farm, Grand Rapids
You won't have to worry about getting lost in this maze. There are plenty of trivia questions at checkpoints throughout that when you answer will help you get through the challenge.
4) Frankenmuth Corn Maze
You'll find plenty to do at this farm, with a larger 5-acre maze, two smaller ones for the little kiddies, plus a petting zoo, rubber ducky racing, and hay rides.
3) Grandmas Pumpkin Patch, Midland
Check out the design on the maze here last year. It features Michigan native, Ginger Zee, who is a meteorologist on Good Morning America... That's quite a tribute.
2) Jacobs Corn Maze, Traverse City
How exciting, the theme here this year is ancient Egypt, where visitors will be taken through a journey with mummies and pharaohs in the 20-acre maze.
1) Lewis Farm Market and Farm, New Era
Talk about Cornfusion! Grandma's gives you an 8-acre maze, plus a pumpkin patch, wagon rides and an enchanted forest.
Those are really something, huh? What are you waiting for? Be sure to take the family now to check these places out!
