If you're thinking of things to do with the family this summer, you might consider a trip to an animal sanctuary. These are special places where creatures who might have been abused or neglected or are just in need of a home can live out their lives in wide open spaces. Often the public is invited to see for themselves and learn about the environment, how other species live, and how humans can support their survival.
