Massachusetts is, hands down, one of the most beautiful places in the world. How lucky are we to be able to explore that beauty on the many trails that dot the state? If you're looking for a trail that's drenched with beauty and a bit of a challenge, follow the Sanderson Brook Falls Trail in Massachusetts. It's picture-perfect through every season.
Tucked in Chester-Blandford State Forest in Blandford, the Sanderson Brook Falls Loop Trail is brimming with natural beauty, including babbling brooks and a cascading waterfall.
Make sure you're up for a challenge as the nearly five-mile trail is considered moderate, predominately because of some of the steep climbs along the way.
Before you set off on the trail, lather yourself in bug spray. Bring it along, too, as there tend to be a lot of bugs in the area.
If you prefer to get your steep climbs out of the way, start the trail at the parking area by Sanderson Brook Road.
The trail promises an abundance of natural beauty no matter the season. You'll run across tiny waterfalls as well as Sanderson Brook Falls...
Babbling brooks and a ton of lush green. (The landscape transforms into a colorful masterpiece during autumn, so definitely try to get out on the trail during the fall.)
You'll also be treated to sensational views, that are seemingly endless, from the scenic vistas.
