Not only is Lynn Woods Reservation the second largest municipal park in the U.S., but it's also one of the most beautiful spots to take a hike in Massachusetts. This gorgeous wooded forest is home to over 2,000 acres of woods, flowers, wildlife, and three magical ponds. While there are over 30-miles of trail throughout this Lynn reservation, this loop hike in the middle of two ponds will have you feeling like you're in an enchanted forest. The Great Woods in Lynn Woods Reservation has many different trails, all marked by different colors upon the trees, but this 4-mile loop is one of the most relaxing.

This beautiful nature reservation in the town of Lynn, Massachusetts dates all the way back to 1881.
At 2,200 acres of wooded forest in total, this is the second largest municipal park in the United States.
Since Lynn Woods Reservation is so big, it's home to over 30 miles of hiking trails. One of our favorites is the green loop trail, which is roughly 4-miles long.
Each trail is marked by different colors upon the trees. This particular loop hike will take you between two ponds.
The reservation has a third pond as well! This slice of nature is home to so many unique views that you could spend all day here.
Take your time on this relaxing pond hike, and sit and contemplate within a historic nature reserve.
