Welcome to Great Island Trail!
This beautiful trail is nestled in Wellfleet on Cape Cod, and takes you through some of Massachusetts' most unforgettable slices of nature.
For roughly 4 miles, this hike will take you through a lush forest before emerging into Great Beach Hill.
This train does feature many different terrains, so make sure to bring proper gear as some parts of the trail can be difficult.
Once you reach the beach, you'll be met with some of the most stunning views on Great Beach Hill.
You can feel the wind in your hair as your dip your toes in the sand and stroll along.
Before heading back, take a deep breath and relax on this elevated plain. When the tide is low, it's even more breathtaking.
